Not long after Colonial House opened in 1981, owner Bill Beshara hired a one-of-a-kind lady named Marie Grimshaw, who had been making the same Caramel Roll recipe in her home kitchen for years.
Marie arrived before dawn to make her Caramel Rolls for over 25 years at Colonial House, before retiring at the young age of 88. Since that time, we've tried to perfect her Caramel Sauce (though she would undoubtedly say that it needs no perfecting!). Our bakers continue to pump out her recipe daily. You can smell sweet caramel saturating the kitchen as early as 2am.

Our Caramel Rolls sell out fast, especially on holidays.
